Week 3: Womanizer (photo by Chris Polk from mtv.com)
Week 1: Din Daa Daa? We know they are amazing dancers. Week 2: Independent? We find out how strong they really are. Britney Spears Week 3: Womanizer? “The World was not ready for that.” This performance in particular was one of their (many) breakout performances.
I usually qualify my statements with “arguably” or “in my opinion” but I can say with 99.9% 100% confidence that no other ABDC crew has even come close to the versatility that The Beat Freaks displayed week after week. Yeah, Jabbawockeez, SuperCrew, Quest, Kaba Modern, and Fanny Pak, etc. are all great at what they do but we always knew what style to expect from each of those crews. With The Beat Freaks, it’s expect the unexpected. Each performance was so unique and Womanizer is a perfect example of that.
Poppin, Lockin, Breakin, Freestyle, Choreography, whatever… this ALL STYLES crew can do it all and do it well. This routine is one that keeps getting better every time I watch it. I can go on and on, but I’ll leave it at that. Ok, one more thing, I love Rino’s MJ pose at the end!
Oh, almost forgot about the fashion… I think they are wearing the Nike Legend High LE Premium Women’s Boot.
