Once again Pacific Rim Photo Press and Video has come through for Beat Freaks Fans with another great interview from the Dizzy Feet Foundation Gala and some amazing photos of the girls on the red carpet.

I had a scary thought the other day. What would Beat Freaks Fans do without Pacific Rim Photo and Video? Who would be there to document the Beat Freaks journey every step of the way from ABDC to Dizzy Feet and so on? Where would we get all these high-quality interviews, photos, Ustreams, and performance videos if it weren’t for Pacific Rim? That’s why I would like to dedicate this post to thanking Pacific Rim Video and Photo Press and show them our appreciation for all of their hard work and loyal Beat Freaks coverage. Thank you to Sthanlee B. Mirador, Peter Gonzaga, Angelica Alumia, and the rest of the Pacific Rim family. Your work is loved and appreciated by the Beat Freaks and their fans.

Beat Freaks Fashion at Dizzy Feet

Thanks to Pacific Rim Photo Press’ Sthanlee B. Mirador, we get to see The Beat Freaks Freak the Fashion on the red carpet at the Dizzy Feet Gala. Their brand new dance moves, accompanied by the rhythms of Sheila E., came with a fresh, new style. Their look added a whole other dimension to their already amazing performance. Here’s a break down from head to toe:

Jackets (below): American Apparel’s Unisex Matte Faux Leather Hoody
Shirts: A mix including Hellz Bellz, Tokidoki, and customized Forever XXI.
Jeans: A lot of people are loving their baggy jeans. You can find them at G-Star Raw.
Shoes: Gotta love their shiny kicks. Nike, of course. Nike Dunk High Women’s Shoe in Metallic Silver and the Nike Dunk High Skinny Women’s Shoe in Metallic Gold and Black

Beat Freaks Performance at Dizzy Feet Foundation

The Beat Freaks performed today at the Dizzy Feet Foundation’s “Celebration of Dance” Fundraising Gala at the Kodak Theater. Cat Deeley introduced the Beat Freaks, “These next dancers prove that anything boys can do, girls can do better.” Immediately, everyone knew she was talking about the Beat Freaks.

The brand new routine started with the first special guest, The Magic Ball, and went into Dirty Money’s ‘Love Come Down’ choreography. I hope everyone gets to see the full LCD choreography soon, because it is sick! Next, they started dancing to Sheila E.’s “The Glamorous Life” and were soon joined on stage by the legend, herself. Each Beat Freak had their moment to shine with their individual, signature freestyle. The set ended with one of BGirl Shorty’s incredible headspins. The crowd loved it and brought the fans to their feet screaming. The Beat Freaks definitely went above and beyond in every aspect; the dancing, music, fashion, production, and of course Sheila E!

There were so many amazing dancers and routines at the Dizzy Feet Gala. The recipients of the Dizzy Feet scholarships from Julliard, American Ballet Theater, Mary Murphy Dance Studio, Debbie Allen Dance Academy, and Alvin Ailey all performed and are so very talented. Other standout routines included:

The LXD dancers – My second favorite performance of the night. I can’t wait for this web series to come out in 2010. If you haven’t seen the trailer, watch it here.
The Groovaloos – Keeley and Lindsey joined them on stage.
Quest Crew – They performed their usual ABDC mash-up routine. Always a crowd pleaser! Standing ovation for them.
SYTYCD – The Mia Michaels’ addiction routine with Kayla and Kupono and “This Woman’s Work” cancer routine with Ade and Melissa both received standing ovations as well. Jason and Jeanine also performed Travis Wall’s choreography. Katee and Joshua performed Nappytabs’ “No Air” routine and Jason and Caitlin did their Bollywood routine.
Lil C and others did some major krumping to a live drummer.
DWTS – Performances included Cheryl Burke, Derek Hough, Lacey Schwimmer, Lance Bass, Mark Ballas, Kristi Yamaguchi, Gilles Marini, Jonathan Roberts and Anna Trebunskaya.
Step Up Dancers – Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Briana Evigan, and Sharni Vinson all performed. They had an amusing introduction by Step Up male leads Rick Malambri, Robert Hoffman, and Channing Tatum who couldn’t keep from laughing.
Other performances from Rage Boyz Crew, Fabienne Levenson, and an MJ Tribute by young Isaac Blanks.
Presenters also included Cat Deeley, Nigel Lythgoe, Carrie Ann Inaba, Adam Shankman, Kenny Ortega, Glee’s Matt Morrison, and Katie Holmes.

Dizzy Feet Foundation Performance November 29th

As you may know by now, the Beat Freaks and Groovaloos will be performing at Dizzy Feet Foundation’s first fundraising gala, “Celebration of Dance” on November 29th at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. Dizzy Feet Foundation was founded in 2009 by Nigel Lythgoe, Adam Shankman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Katie Holmes to “help underprivileged young people realize their dream of becoming professional dancers and to support, improve, and increase access to dance education in the United States.”

The Beat Freaks are among a strong lineup of performers for the star-studded event, including dancers from The American Ballet Theatre, Alvin Ailey Dance Troupe, the Groovaloos, Michael Jackson’s ‘This Is It’, Step Up movies, Quest Crew, So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing With The Stars, and recipients of the Dizzy Feet Foundation scholarships.

The gala is already sold out and it won’t be televised. Adam Shankman has tweeted that they are in discussions for a DVD but that music and talent clearance issues would cost too much to broadcast. This is definitely unfortunate for Beat Freaks Fans, because from what we’ve learned, this is going to be one memorable and amazing performance!

Here’s the inside scoop… The Beat Freaks have been rehearsing non-stop for this BRAND NEW performance set with a “super special surprise LIVE musical guest.” Six of the Beat Freaks will be performing and all that we were told was that it will be a “magical” performance. If it’s anything like the Beat Freaks’ last magical performance, Dizzy Feet has no idea what they are about to experience!

If you like the shoes they will be wearing for the performance, they are Nike Dunk High Women’s Shoe in Metallic Silver.
