When I think of superheroes, I usually imagine them wearing masks and capes.  For The Beat Freaks, their capes are the Nike Sportswear Gradient Flywire Windrunner, seen at the World of Dance, Pomona and the Warner Bros. Animation performances.  The Flywire Windrunner is a part of the Nike Sportswear (NSW) collection, where classic Nike products are updated with innovative technology to combine the best in design and performance.

NSW is a capsule collection designed at the crossroads of performance and iconic styling, it is a hybrid, seamlessly melding aesthetic comforts with an ever evolving future, the apex of NIke Sportswear represents: the cutting edge of engineering and craftsmanship, filtered through Nike’s DNA.

This isn’t your average jacket.  First of all, it retails at $395.  Why so much?  It was designed to be the lightest windrunner out there.  With its ultra lightweight nylon, digitally printed-on chevron, and flywire technology, the Flywire Windrunner weighs less than an iPod touch (116 gm and 121 gm respectively).

The NSW collection also includes the Nike For The Love Of God Jacket seen in the photo below.
